Market Data & Attribution
Source and delay
Option quotes, greeks and the underlying index level shown on this Site are obtained from Cboe's publicly available delayed quote service and are delayed by approximately 15 minutes. They are provided for general information and for modelling hypothetical positions. They are not real-time, not consolidated, not an official price, and not suitable for order entry, valuation, settlement or risk management.
The Site fetches the chain at most once every 60 seconds and holds it briefly in memory. When a refresh fails, the last successful data is shown and labelled stale in the page header.
Accuracy
The data is supplied by a third party and is passed through as received. It may be incomplete, delayed beyond the stated delay, contain errors, omit strikes or expirations, or be unavailable entirely. Nothing here is verified against an official source. No warranty of accuracy or availability is given — see the Terms of Use.
Not for redistribution
The market data on this Site is made available for your personal, informational use only. It may not be redistributed, republished, resold, stored for later distribution, or used as a data source for another service. Requests are served as small slices of the chain, on demand, for display — the Site does not offer bulk data and bulk extraction is not permitted under the Terms of Use.
Trademarks and affiliation
Cboe®, SPX® and related marks are trademarks of Cboe Global Markets, Inc. and its affiliates. thinkorswim® is a trademark of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. Names of exchanges, brokers and platforms appear on this Site solely to identify the source of data or the format of an order string.
This Site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or connected to Cboe Global Markets, Charles Schwab, The Options Clearing Corporation, or any exchange, broker, clearing firm or data vendor. No such company has reviewed, approved or is responsible for anything shown here.
Order strings
The Site can read and write order strings in thinkorswim's text format purely as a convenience for describing a position in a familiar notation. It has no connection to thinkorswim or to any broker, it cannot place, stage, modify or transmit an order, and copying a string from this Site does nothing until you choose to use it somewhere else.
